Bart Ribbers 481147a624 main/postmarketos-ui-phosh: stop providing mpris-proxy.desktop
This will break music controls on Bluetooth headsets and other devices
for 21.03, but we consider this branch unsupported anyway and this
allows smoother upgrading to the edge branch where the Bluez package
provides this file now. Yes we don't support upgrading between releases
without reinstalling, but small fixes like this don't hurt

Clayton Craft 43eccc264a temp/geary: upgrade to 3.38.2+git20210118+7bb025-0pureos3 (MR 2035) (MR 2130)
Latest patches from Purism, including some they backported from
upstream.

fixes #1058

The debian dir was dropped from the archives in this fork repo, but the
number of patches has been dramatically reduced.

A new mechanism (thanks @ollieparanoid) is added here to compare the
list of patches stored in pmaports when this package was upgraded to the
list of patches in purism's repo @ some commit this package uses, so
that any difference can be detected (pacakge will fail to build). If
there's a mismatch, the patches from this repo should be updated/added
to match what's in purism's repo @ the commit, and purism_patches.series
should be updated to match the debian/patches/series file in the purism
repo.

The dialog to set a kwallet password is currently broken and unusable if

Not a great solution, but better than having the functionality be broken
for now.

Proper fix would be upstream fixing the virtual keyboard so users can
enter values in the right boxes. Once that is fixed, we can (and should)
revert this

- Update to Linux 5.11.7

- Switch BAM DMUX (mobile data) driver to Raw-IP mode.
This makes it work with the upstream version of ModemManager,
reduces overhead a bit and is overall cleaner.
- Add QMI "memshare" driver which is needed for GPS to work on most
  MSM8916 devices.
  - GPS has been tested successfully on:

  - Needs more testing/investigation on:
    - asus-z00l
    - asus-z010d
    - wingtech-wt865x8

- Add SMB1360 battery/charger/OTG driver for longcheer-l8190
  and wingtech-wt88047.
- Rework TFA9895 speaker amplifier driver for potential upstreaming,
make it work for TFA9897, add channel selection and a lot of cleanup.

- Add INSTALL_MOD_STRIP=1 to maybe reduce the size of modules a bit.
- Other things I forgot :)

Device changes:
  - alcatel-alto5-vdf: Initial support for Vodafone Smart prime 6
    - USB
    - Storage (eMMC, SD card)
    - Buttons
    - WiFi, Bluetooth
  - alcatel-idol347: Initial support for Alcatel Idol 3 (4.7")
    - USB
    - Storage (eMMC, SD card)
    - Display, Brightness
    - Touchscreen, Buttons, Vibrator
    - WiFi, Bluetooth
    - Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity
    - Audio (no headphones yet)
    - Modem (voice call audio needs some more minor changes)
  - asus-z00l

    - IMU (Accelerometer + Gyroscope), Magnetometer
  - lg-m216
    - Battery/charging
  - longcheer-l8150 (wileyfox-crackling)

Minecrell 19c5527601 community/asus-me176c: fix splash screen width and phosh scaling (MR 2047)
Actually the display in asus-me176c has a width of 800px, which means
that the splash screen isn't perfectly centered. Correct this in
deviceinfo to make it show up correctly.

Also, add configuration file for Phosh to reduce scaling a bit to 1.75.
It's kind of subjective but scaling = 2 definitely feels too large.

Oliver Smith fb7a5525b5 main/postmarketos-mkinitfs: fix space issues (MR 2051) (MR 2052)
In order to have hardware acceleration in osk-sdl, we have included mesa
for some devices (like the PinePhone) in initfs-extra. Mesa drags in
libLLVM, which got a size increase of 27 MB in the last version. This
leads to running out of space on the boot partition:

  ==> initramfs: creating /boot/initramfs-postmarketos-allwinner-extra
gzip: write error: No space left on device
  cpio: write error: Broken pipe

Improve the situation by not directly writing initfs-extra to /boot
(next to the old version), but to a temporary directory first. Replace
the old version with the new version afterwards (like before).

This is a rather minimal fix for this specific issue. The mkinitfs
script needs more fixing (it's one of the oldest pieces of code in
postmarketOS and could use a rewrite...), but that's out of scope for
this patch.

Oliver Smith cf4fe51c3a temp/u-boot-librem5: use pmb:cross-native (MR 1988)
Let pmbootstrap build the package in the native chroot. This is
important for the v21.03 branch, which needs to ship its own
cross-embedded toolchain, as the one from Alpine is only in testing and
therefore not available in the Alpine v3.13 branch that pmOS v21.03 is
based on. By using the native branch, it is enough to build the
cross-embedded toolchain for x86_64, and we can avoid qemu related
errors when attempting to build it for arm architectures.

As a nice benefit, this makes compilation of the package faster on edge,
too.

Subject: [PATCH] Revert "PR25882, .gnu.attributes are not checked for shared
libraries"
This revert is needed to avoid wrongly tagging objects with the incompatible
IBM long double ABI, which is not supported by musl and will result in
linking errors if used.
This reverts commit a8acd6eeb6dc2cc5460ece90f90ebe36b56b20ba.

Subject: [PATCH 1/1] texi2pod.pl: add no-op --no-split option support
[PR28144]
Change 2faf902da ("generate single html manual page by default")
added use of --no-split option to makeinfo. binutils reuses
makeinfo options for texi2pod.pl wrapper. Unsupported option
led to silent manpage truncation.
The change adds no-op option support.

Subject: [PATCH] Use generic errstr.go implementation on musl
glibc provides two version of strerror_r() depending on a feature test
macro. The first is the XSI-compliant version which returns an int, the
second is GNU-specific and returns a char pointer.
Similarity, gcc's libgo provides two implementations of Errstr() both of
which use strerror_r(). On Linux, it is assumed that the GNU-specific
strerror_r version is used. However, musl only provides the
XSI-compliant version of strerror_r. This patch enables the generic
Errstr() implementation which also uses the XSI-compliant version of
strerror_r.

Subject: [PATCH] configure: fix detection of atomic builtins in libatomic
configure script
Alpine's --enable-autolink-libatomic (which is enabled for riscv64 by
default) causes the libatomic configure script to incorrectly detect
which builtins are available on riscv64. This then causes incorrect code
generation for libatomic since it assumes compiler builtins to be
available which are not actually available on riscv64.
This commit fixes this issue by disabling linking of libatomic configure
test code entirely, thereby preventing linking against libatomic.
